The silkscreen printing includes hand silk screen printing and machine silk screen printing, and digital printing also has two different processes: direct printing and dye-sublimation printing.

When the order quantity and the using environment are different, the printing method they choose is also different. So when we are exhibiting in different environments or having special order requirements, how should we choose the appropriate printing process? And what is the difference between them?

Digital Printing
Direct printing and dye-sublimation printing work well for small orders, NO MOQ, and also NO limitation on the logo design, no matter colorful gradients design or complex logos.
But the dye-sublimation printing is brighter on the printing effects, the effect of dye-sublimation printing on color fixing and anti-fading is also better than that of direct printing. Of course, the price of dye sub is higher.

Silkscreen printing
When your order is in large quantity, and the logo design is of simple solid colors, and within 7-8 colors, we would suggest you to choose silk screen printing. If the logo lines are too thin, and if you could not accept bolding, we also can use the film techniques to print them out, but it may have the extra cost.

When to choose hand silkscreen printing?
1)The MOQ is US$150.
2)Your logo is within 7 of solid colors.
3)Calculate the printing area of your order which should be less than 16145 square feet (it is 1500 square meters), then you can choose the hand silkscreen printing. You will find that the price is much better, but it takes a longer time to produce.

QTY of 50-200pcs: about 5-7 days;
QTY of 200-500pcs: about 7-10 days;
QTY of above 500pcs: about 12 days.

And when is using machine silk screen printing?
When the total area of your order is more than 16145 square feet (1500 square meters), we recommend that you choose machine screen printing. And your logo can be up to 8 solid colors. But the delivery time is much longer, at least 15 days.

What is the difference between them?
The penetration of hand silk screen printing is almost 100%, and that of machine silk screen printing is only more than 70%. The exact penetration depends on the color of the logo design. Since the penetration effect of some colors is not very good, such as blue and purple.

The finished fabric of the hand silkscreen printing is different from machine silk screen printing and will be softer.
