.US Space Adventures: Japanese tycoon Tomoshi Maazawa will enter the International Space Station on December 8 aboard the Soyuz manned spaceship. He will stay at the space station for 12 days. Former Zeyou had previously solicited comments from the public and made a list of 100 things to do in space, including playing badminton at the space station.

2. CNN: about 85% of toys sold in the United States are made in China. In response to the global supply chain crisis, US toy manufacturers are changing the packaging size of their products, giving priority to delivering lightweight and soft toys in order to maximize profits in the shopping season before the end of the year.

3. According to the Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK), around the regular autumn ceremony held at the Yasukuni Shrine from 17 to 18, Fumio Kishida offered sacrifices to the Yasukuni Shrine in the name of “Japanese Prime Minister” on the 17th.

.There is a growing trend for Japanese companies to actively make use of elderly employees who are willing to work. Noshima, a big appliance seller, has lifted the 80-year-old employment limit, and zipper maker YKK Group abolished the fixed retirement age for regular employees in April.

.Tesla: the delivery time in the United States has been postponed again, and most models have been delayed by 2-3 months than previously expected. The purchase of Model-X now will take September 2022 for delivery, compared with the previously promised delivery period of May-June next year.

.Korea Automobile Industry Association: in the third quarter, domestic vehicle manufacturers in South Korea produced a total of 761975 vehicles, down 20.9% from the same period last year, setting a 13-year low. The factories of global automotive semiconductor companies in Southeast Asia have been shut down because of the Delta strain, and the semiconductor shortage problem shows no sign of easing.

.Strategists led by JPMorgan Chase Marko Kolanovic said that recent market concerns about stagflation are “in the wrong place” and that the cycle towards low valuations and economically sensitive stocks should continue. Economic growth is likely to remain above trend as major central banks seem to give priority to maintaining economic recovery over curbing inflation. Last week’s pullback in US bond yields was “technical and temporary” and could resume the rally, supporting a “sustained and significant” asset rotation until the end of 2021.

.Korea Meteorological Agency: the lowest temperature in Seoul in the early morning of October 17 will drop to 1 degree Celsius, the lowest in mid-October for nearly 64 years.

.France: measures are about to be taken to deal with rising energy prices. The rise in international energy prices, especially natural gas prices, has pushed up energy prices in France and Europe, and the government will introduce further measures in the near future in the light of developments.

.The probability that us interest rate traders expect the fed to raise interest rates by 25 basis points in June next year has risen to nearly 50 per cent. Interest rate swaps show that the market expects the Fed to raise interest rates by about 12 basis points at its June meeting. The chance of a 25 basis point increase in September is expected to be 100 per cent, followed by a second hike no later than February 2023.

.Recently, as the price of natural gas continues to soar, the energy crisis in Europe is becoming more and more serious. EU officials say EU gas stocks are at their lowest level in nearly a decade. At the same time, energy companies in the UK are constantly facing bankruptcy. European natural gas prices have soared nearly 600 per cent this year, reducing industrial production as a result of soaring energy prices and exposing European residents to higher heating bills.

.Due to climate change and global warming, the sea ice area of the Arctic Ocean is shrinking rapidly and is now less than half what it was in the 1980s. An area of 1 million square kilometers north of Greenland and off the coast of Canada is called the “last ice zone”. Researchers at Columbia University in the United States say the “last ice area” of the Arctic Ocean may disappear by 2100.
